canada explained
It never ceases to amaze me how immigrants everywhere are used as scapegoats when they have a better understanding of the workings of their new country than most of its citizens. As Canadians are faced with a government in crisis, the government is faced with Canadians who, largely, have no idea what is going on. To make matters worse, the extent to which Stephen Harper and the Conservative party have blatantly attempted to mislead the public is downright insulting. After the lowest voter turnout in this country’s history, people suddenly care a great deal about who is in charge.
